The accused, Kamta Gupta, Rahul Sharma, Imran Khan, and Ovais Mistry, were previously employed with Jugyah Real Estate Pvt Ltd, a company with branches in Prabhadevi, Vashi, and Jogeshwari.

According to the FIR, Sharma, who was a manager, provided customer data to a rival company before resigning in May. The other three accused allegedly helped him steal the data, which contained essential information about clients and their preferences. The firm alleged that the information leak has resulted in the loss of clients.

The accused have joined a Powai-based real estate company, breaching their employment contracts by leaving their jobs without proper notice. A case has been filed against them for criminal conspiracy and theft by clerk or servant of property in possession of master, along with relevant sections of the Information Technology Act.
