Real Estate Mumbai:In a shocking incident, a 76-year-old retired government servant was robbed of Rs 50 lakh at knifepoint by a real estate agent in Pune. The incident took place on the Pune-Solapur highway, around 60 kilometers from Pune, when the victim, Sharad Dange, was traveling with his family and a real estate agent, Gajanan Kalwaghe, who had brokered a land deal with the father of Dange's daughter-in-law.

According to the police, Kalwaghe threatened Dange at knifepoint and fled with a bag containing Rs 50 lakh cash, which was an advance payment for the land deal. The police launched an extensive manhunt and set up multiple roadblocks and checkpoints to catch the suspect. After a thrilling chase, the police apprehended Kalwaghe and recovered Rs 45 lakh cash from him. Two accomplices of Kalwaghe were also arrested, and the police are in the process of recovering the remaining cash.
