A 28-year-old driver was saved from a near-death ordeal after his car crashed through the railing of the Worli Coastal Road and plunged into the Arabian Sea. Four Maharashtra State Security Force (MSF) jawans risked their lives to rescue him.

The MSF jawans involved in the rescue were Suhas Kadusare, Pandurang Kale, Vikas Rathod, Ramraje Chaudhary, and Akash Takate, under the supervision of Assistant Security Officer Hirichandra Vishe.
The driver, Frashogor Darayush Battiwala, was in a critical condition when rescued. His mouth and nose were full of seawater, and he could barely speak. After basic first aid, he started breathing normally and was taken to a nearby hospital.
The driver was booked under Sections 281, 125, 324(3), 324(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act for rash and negligent driving, endangering public life, and damaging government property.
The MSF jawans jumped into the sea, with Suhas Kadusare being the first. They used a rope secured by locals to pull the driver, Frashogor Darayush Battiwala, to safety.
The accident took place on the Worli Coastal Road, near the Namann Zahana Building, towards the Prabhadevi flyover.
