Real Estate Mumbai:The Indian real estate sector has witnessed a significant surge in private equity (PE) investments in the first half of 2024. According to a report by Knight Frank India, a leading real estate advisory firm, PE investments in the sector have increased by 15% year-on-year (Y-o-Y) to $3 billion. The office sector, however, has witnessed a decline of 67% to $579 million.

Mumbai has emerged as the leader in PE investments, with a total of $1.701 billion, followed by Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The report highlights that the warehousing sector accounted for 88% of the total PE investments in Mumbai, while the residential sector contributed 12%.
