Kandivli Police Solve Property Dispute Murder Case: Two Men Arrested
Kandivli police have successfully arrested two men, Chandtabhushan Chauhan and Vijaykumar Chauhan, both aged between 40 and 45, for the alleged murder of Ramlakhan Yadav (60) in a property dispute case in Kandivli West, Mumbai. The incident took place in September 2025.
The Yadav and Chauhan families had been embroiled in a property dispute for several days over a property in Laljipada, Kandivli West. On September 5, the accused reportedly forced their way into Yadav's residence, claiming ownership of the property. They then verbally abused and physically assaulted Yadav and his family members. The police stated that the attackers used sticks, bamboo stumps, and stones to commit the assault, causing serious injuries to Yadav.
Yadav's family rushed him to Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivli West, where doctors provided medical treatment. He was later discharged, but the following day, he complained of chest pain. His family took him back to the hospital around 5:30 PM. While undergoing treatment in the ICU, doctors declared him dead at around 7:45 PM.
Following the incident, five accused individuals were arrested and later released on bail. However, Chandtabhushan Chauhan and Vijaykumar Chauhan managed to abscond. A special team was formed to track and arrest the two remaining accused. The police conducted a thorough investigation and finally apprehended the two men, bringing them to justice.
