Lloyds Engineering Lloyds Engineering Works has signed a significant purchase agreement with The Materials Works (TMW), USA. Under the terms of this agreement, Lloyds Engineering can manufacture and sell an unlimited number of EPS Gen 4 cells using TMW’s patented technology. The company will be required to pay an agreed earn-out to TMW for a specified period. This move is expected to boost Lloyds Engineering's manufacturing capabilities and expand its market presence in the high-tech engineering sector.
Lemon Tree Hotels Coastal Cedar Investment BV, an affiliate of Warburg Pincus, is set to acquire the entire 41.09% equity stake held by APG Strategic Real Estate Pool NV in Lemon Tree Hotels’ subsidiary, Fleur Hotels. The board of Lemon Tree Hotels has approved a shareholders’ agreement that allows Warburg Pincus to make a primary investment of up to Rs 960 crore in tranches. This investment will be used to fund Fleur’s future growth, enhancing its portfolio and expanding its footprint in the hospitality sector.
NTPC NTPC has entered into a shareholders’ agreement with Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MAHAGENCO) to acquire Sinnar Thermal Power Limited (STPL) for Rs 3,800.14 crore. STPL, currently undergoing the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process, owns a 1,350 MW (5 × 270 MW) coal-based thermal power plant located in the Sinnar district of Maharashtra. This acquisition aligns with NTPC’s strategic goals to expand its power generation capacity and strengthen its presence in the energy sector.
Websol Energy System The Andhra Pradesh government has approved Websol Energy System’s proposed greenfield 4 GW solar cell and module manufacturing project at MPSEZ, Naidupeta. As part of this initiative, the company plans to set up a 100 MW captive solar power plant. This project aims to ensure reliable access to renewable energy and improve operating cost efficiency, contributing to India’s ambitious renewable energy targets.
