Lakshmi Mittal is an India-born billionaire and the executive chairman of ArcelorMittal, the world's second-largest steelmaking company. He is associated with Gentex Merchants Pvt Ltd, the company that purchased the Lutyens’ Delhi bungalow.
The bungalow is located on APJ Abdul Kalam Road in Lutyens’ Delhi. It was built around 1937 and is part of the Lutyens’ Bungalow Zone (LBZ), a heritage area designed by British architect Edwin Lutyens, known for its colonial charm and restricted development.
The bungalow spans 3,540 square yards and was purchased for Rs 310 crore, translating to approximately Rs 8.75 lakh per square yard.
The LBZ is home to several notable properties owned by prominent figures, including billionaires Gautam Adani and Vijay Shekhar Sharma. Bungalows in this zone typically command prices ranging from Rs 200 crore to Rs 400 crore.
Earlier this year, Mittal purchased a grand residence in Emirates Hills, a gated community in Dubai often referred to as the Beverly Hills of Dubai. This Baroque-style property was listed for about $200 million and is known for its gold-leaf interiors.
