Lodha Developers plans to enter the Delhi-NCR market with its first housing project in FY25. The company expects to acquire at least one land parcel this fiscal year and will start with a pilot phase to understand the market better.
The pilot phase will involve a few housing projects with a moderate number of projects and a moderate level of investment. The focus will be on building a local operating team and understanding the market dynamics.
Lodha Developers reported a 42% increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 675.1 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal year, up from Rs 475.9 crore in the same period last year. Sales bookings also grew by 10% to Rs 4,450 crore.
Lodha Developers has a significant presence in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Pune, and Bengaluru housing markets. The company has delivered 110 million square feet of real estate and is currently developing more than 130 million square feet under its ongoing and planned portfolio.
The Delhi-NCR market is important for Lodha Developers due to its growing demand for housing and its status as one of India's most populous and economically vibrant regions. Entering this market will help the company diversify its portfolio and tap into new opportunities.
