The Online E-Registration of Property Agreements is a digital system launched by the Inspector General of Registration (IGR), Maharashtra, that allows homebuyers and developers to complete the entire property registration process online, from agreement drafting to final registration.
The system offers several benefits to homebuyers, including convenience (registering agreements from home or the developer’s office), faster approvals, instant access to registered agreements, and enhanced security through Aadhaar e-KYC and biometric checks.
The Hiranandani Group’s real estate development in Panvel, Navi Mumbai, was the first project to adopt the Online E-Registration system.
The key security features include Aadhaar-based identity verification, biometric authentication, and data encryption, ensuring that the process maintains the highest legal sanctity and trust.
The system is fully digital and monitored by IGR Maharashtra, ensuring transparency. It also reduces manual dependency, speeds up the registration process, and provides instant access to registered agreements, enhancing overall efficiency.
