He asserted that Maharashtra is at the forefront of channelizing the disruptions of this century, aiming not only to remain India's largest economy but to emerge as a global growth platform as well.
If the country, under the leadership of the Prime Minister, is shaping the global change by moving from incremental reforms to structural transformation, Maharashtra, as India's largest state economy with a GDP of $578 billion, has entered this period from a position of strength. Fadnavis stated, 'In this century of change, nations compete and states execute. In this emerging global order, sub-national economies will determine competitiveness.'
Maharashtra contributes 14% to India's GDP and holds the highest share of the country's FDI inflow. The state also boasts $67 billion in exports and nine million MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) that drive employment and entrepreneurship. These factors position Maharashtra as a strong contender to be the leading destination for modern business activities.

The state's infrastructure, including world-class ports, airports, and industrial corridors, further enhances its appeal to global investors.
Moreover, the Chief Minister underscored the importance of inclusive growth, emphasizing that the benefits of economic development should reach all sections of society. 'Our focus is on creating a balanced and inclusive economy where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive,' Fadnavis added. The state's efforts in skilling and upskilling the workforce, promoting women's empowerment, and enhancing access to quality education and healthcare are key components of this strategy.
The Chief Minister also discussed the role of innovation and technology in driving Maharashtra's growth. 'We are investing heavily in research and development, promoting startups, and building a robust ecosystem for innovation,' he said. Initiatives such as the Maharashtra Innovation Hub and the State Innovation Council are designed to nurture creativity and foster a culture of innovation.
