This new approach, in line with a directive from the Bombay High Court, allows complainants and concerned parties to attend hearings either physically or virtually via secure video conferencing platforms. Complainants and parties from across Maharashtra can now choose the mode of attendance that best suits their needs. Hearings are conducted at MahaRERA offices in Mumbai and other designated centers, while virtual sessions are accessible statewide. This dual-option approach addresses various challenges, such as technical difficulties and travel constraints, providing relief to parties who may have found it difficult to attend physical hearings. Additionally, it caters to the growing preference for convenience and flexibility among users.
Parties can indicate their preferred mode of hearing when filing a complaint or application. For physical hearings, requests must be submitted in writing through the user's login portal. Virtual hearings, on the other hand, are conducted using secure digital platforms and are recorded. All orders and judgments are published on the MahaRERA website with time stamps, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Daily cause lists specify fixed hearing dates and bench information, while a separate register tracks urgent hearing applications and subsequent actions.
