The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is a government initiative aimed at providing affordable housing to all eligible citizens, particularly the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Low Income Group (LIG).
MHADA is selling 6,248 affordable houses under the PMAY-Urban scheme in Thane.
The houses are located in Shirgaon and Khoni in the Thane district.
The cost of 5,236 houses in Shirgaon has been increased to Rs 19.28 lakh, while 1,012 houses in Khoni have been reduced to Rs 19.11 lakh.
Eligible buyers include the EWS (annual income up to Rs 6 lakh), LIG (annual income between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 9 lakh), MIG (annual income between Rs 9 lakh and Rs 12 lakh), and HIG (annual income more than Rs 12 lakh).
