MMRDA Leads Maharashtra in Governance and Digital Reforms
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region continues to develop as a more connected and digitally enabled ecosystem, with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) focusing on building governance systems that are efficient, transparent, and citizen-focused.
Recently, MMRDA secured the first position in the state under the 150 days Sevakarmi Plus Program and was ranked fourth in the 150 days E-Governance Reform Program of the Maharashtra Government. Certificates of commendation were handed over by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, to Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, IAS, Metropolitan Commissioner of MMRDA.
For the Sevakarmi Plus Program, participating government agencies were assessed on nine parameters related to personnel development and compliance with service rules. In the E-Governance Reform Program, agencies were evaluated on seven parameters focusing on innovative use of digital governance.
This recognition reflects the leadership of Dr. Mukherjee and the persistent dedication of the entire MMRDA team. Their commitment, innovation, and pursuit of excellence have been key drivers in transforming the Mumbai Metropolitan Region into a more citizen-centric and digitally advanced urban ecosystem.
The MMRDA's achievements in these programs underscore its role in enhancing the quality of life for residents of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. By prioritizing digital reforms and governance efficiency, the authority is setting a benchmark for other regions to follow. The MMRDA's success is a testament to the collaborative efforts of its leadership and the hard work of its staff.
