The Motilal Nagar redevelopment project is a seven-year initiative to transform the area in Goregaon, Mumbai, into a modern mixed-use hub with upgraded infrastructure, public amenities, and commercial spaces.
The redevelopment project for Motilal Nagar commenced with soil testing in early October 2025.
Adani Properties, a part of the Adani Group, secured the Motilal Nagar Redevelopment Project after placing the highest bid of ₹36,000 crore with the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA).
The redevelopment plan includes upgraded infrastructure, public amenities, and commercial spaces. It also features a key-to-key methodology to minimize displacement and large open spaces for community use.
The rehabilitation and share of MHADA units are expected to be completed within seven years.
