The Citizen Facilitation Centres (CFCs) in all 24 ward offices of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will remain open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on August 14, 2023, for property tax payments.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the flats under the Worli BDD Chawl Redevelopment Project on Thursday.
The new homes in the Worli BDD Chawl Redevelopment Project include 2BHK homes measuring 500 sq ft, fire safety systems, branded fittings, three passenger lifts, one stretcher lift, and one fire lift. Each home also includes a dedicated parking space, eco-friendly garden, vitrified tile flooring, granite kitchen platforms, aluminium-framed windows, and high-quality plumbing.
The redevelopment plan includes a commercial complex, schools, gyms, hospitals, hostels, a sewage treatment plant, solar energy systems, and rainwater harvesting.
In total, 15,593 families will be rehabilitated under the full BDD redevelopment project, which spans about 86 acres and includes around 207 chawls across Worli, Parel (N M Joshi Marg), and Naigaon.
