A 24-year-old woman, Kaveri Nakhwa, was killed in a hit-and-run accident involving a luxury BMW car in Mumbai's Worli area on Sunday.
The accused is 24-year-old Mihir Shah, son of a Shiv Sena leader, Rajesh Shah, from Palghar district.
A Look Out Circular has been issued against Mihir Shah, and the police have formed six teams to trace him. His father, Rajesh Shah, and driver, Rajrishi Bidawat, have been arrested for allegedly helping the accused flee the scene.
Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena head Eknath Shinde has assured that there will be no separate rule for the accident, and the law will be applied equally to all.
