Three real estate agents were allegedly assaulted and stripped by three brothers in Andheri, Mumbai, when they were taking photos of a property they owned. The brothers became suspicious and attacked the agents, recording the incident and sharing it on social media.
The accused in the Andheri incident are Sattar Turak (54), Ajit (50), and Farooque (53). They have been arrested by the DN Nagar police.
The real estate agents were taking photos of the property to gather information for redevelopment purposes. They specialize in identifying properties that can be redeveloped.
The accused have been arrested under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including charges of intentionally causing harm with a dangerous weapon, wrongful restraint, criminal force, insult, and criminal intimidation.
The DN Nagar police have launched a thorough investigation and are working to ensure such incidents are prevented in the future. They are also calling for increased awareness and training for both property owners and real estate agents to avoid misunderstandings and conflicts.
