The accident was caused when the 22-year-old driver of a Porsche, Neo Sonks, lost control of the vehicle while attempting to avoid a pothole on the WEH.
Neo Sonks, a 22-year-old law student, was driving the Porsche. He sustained severe injuries to both legs and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
The police stated that the cars were trailing each other but were not racing. However, eyewitnesses reported that the vehicles appeared to be racing.
