The intense rainfall lasted for four hours, from 8 AM to 12 PM.
Due to the heavy rain, all schools in the city were given a half-day. Additionally, when a Don Bosco school bus got stuck in severe waterlogging near Matunga Police Station, the police acted swiftly, rescuing the children and staff within 2 minutes.

The data from the municipal rain gauges indicates that Mumbai’s monsoon is unpredictable and highly localised, often causing significant disruptions in daily life within a short period.
