The Sky 31 housing project is a high-end building in Wadala, Mumbai, where a real estate developer collected ₹100 crore from 102 homebuyers, promising them flats.
The main accused is Subbaraman Anand Vilaynur, a real estate developer, along with his wife Uma Subbaraman and B P Gangar Constructions.
The accused have been charged under Sections 420 (cheating), 406 (criminal breach of trust), and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
A total of 102 homebuyers were cheated in this case, with the developer collecting ₹100 crore from them.
The case is being investigated by Banking Unit–3, Cell 11 of the Economic Offences Wing.
