Mumbai police have arrested two men who posed as rickshaw drivers to rob intoxicated patrons outside bars and restaurants. The duo, identified as habitual offenders, have been linked to multiple cases of extortion, theft, and property-related crimes.

The two men arrested were Dinesh Brijraj Chaturvedi (50), a rickshaw driver from Dahisar East, and Rakesh Ambika Tiwari (50), from Kandivali East.
The primary targets were heavily inebriated patrons exiting bars and restaurants.
The accused stole cash, jewellery, and mobile phones from their victims.
The police apprehended the duo based on a tip-off and laid a trap near Gokulanand Hotel Junction, Bhoir Vajan Kata, Dahisar East.
The duo would wait outside restaurants and bars, target visibly intoxicated customers, and drive them to isolated locations where they would rob them of their valuables.
