Dadar Police have booked a Borivali-based builder for defrauding a share market trader of ₹37.90 lakh in a bogus real estate project.

The complainant is Jitesh Banwari Bhargav, a 43-year-old stock market trader from Versova, Andheri (West).
Jitesh was initially defrauded of ₹37.50 lakh, which he transferred to the builder via RTGS.
The builder collected an additional ₹8 lakh, ₹90,000 for old stamp duty, and ₹1.5 lakh for maintenance dues.
Jitesh lodged a formal complaint with Dadar Police Station, leading to the registration of a case against the builder.
The investigation is currently underway, and the case has been registered under sections 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Act.
