WHEF 2025 Theme: Empowering Growth—Prosperity, Innovation, and Sustainability
The Mumbai forum of this year takes the cue from the WHEF 2025 Adelaide conference in Australia, which was recently concluded. The theme for the conference was Empowering Growth: Prosperity, Innovation, and Sustainability.
The participation of prominent Australian leaders, such as Joe Szakacs, Minister for Trade and Investment; Hon. Zoe Bettison, Minister for Tourism and Multicultural Affairs; and Senator Andrew McLachlan, marked the WHEF's enlarging global presence and the maturing ties between India and the Hindu diaspora in Australia.
Speaking about the forthcoming event, Swami Vigyananand, initiator of the World Hindu Economic Forum (WHEF), said, “Our economy is our strength. Through WHEF, we aim to channel the collective talent, knowledge, and enterprise of Hindus globally to create and share surplus wealth, ensuring prosperity for all. As the world’s economic balance shifts, this is the time for Bharat to lead through innovation, ethical enterprise, and self-reliance.”
Rajesh Sharma, Chairman, Organising Committee of WHEF 2025 and MD & CEO, Capri Global Capital Ltd, added, “The World Hindu Economic Forum has become a global platform that celebrates enterprise and values-driven growth. WHEF 2025 will spotlight how innovation, ethics, and collaboration can redefine Bharat’s role in the global economy. Our aim is to connect ideas with capital, tradition with technology, and local entrepreneurship with global opportunity.”
Organised in two days, the forum will commence on December 19 with a private session meant for big businesses, and then the MSME and Entrepreneurial session will take place on December 20.
WHEF Launchpad presentations, policy debates, and lots of networking will be among the forum's attractions. More than 400 delegates from various industries, including technology, clean energy, manufacturing, and social innovation, are expected to attend the forum.
The next forum in Mumbai is a direct continuation of the WHEF 2024, which was probably the most important event in December 2024, since it not only involved the main event of guest speakers but also the participation of representatives from over 60 countries, including senior policymakers, corporate leaders, and the global Hindu diaspora.
The governors of several Indian states were in attendance, and among the speakers were Chief Ministers Mahant Shri Yogi Adityanath (UP), Shri Devendra Fadnavis (Maharashtra), Shri Bhupendra Patel (Gujarat), and Dr Pramod Sawant (Goa).
Over 1,000 international delegates participated, representing various sectors like technology, clean energy, sustainable manufacturing, digitisation, and global startups.
WHEF Launchpad was one of the most significant highlights of this edition, benefitting from the Indian Government's 'Make in Bharat' vision, which provided a vibrant platform for startups to showcase their ingenious ideas and, at the same time, get interactive with the investors and business mentors.
