PERi-PERi is a spicy sauce made from African Bird’s Eye Chili, lemon, fresh garlic, and spices. It is the signature flavor of Nando’s and is known for its unique and fiery taste.
Nando’s originated in a small suburb in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1987. It started with the original flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken and has since expanded globally.
As of 2025, Nando’s has 18 restaurants (Casas) across 7 major cities in India, with plans to expand to 100 Casas in the coming decade.
Nando’s chicken is special because it is flame-grilled, which enhances the flavors. The chicken is marinated with fresh, real ingredients and a range of PERi-PERi sauces, allowing customers to choose their preferred heat level.
The new flagship Nando’s restaurant, known as Casa, is located in Kamala Mills, Mumbai.
