The street plays are part of a week-long campaign to promote women’s safety and community involvement, engaging citizens in discussions about women’s rights and the importance of a safe environment.
The street plays will be held from May 30 to June 6 at various locations across all eight ward divisions of Navi Mumbai, including Digha, Ghansoli, Vashi, Turbhe, Koparkhairane, Nerul, Belapur, and Airoli.
Each session is scheduled for two daily performances: from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and again from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) is organizing the street plays in collaboration with Shravasti Natya Sanstha under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner Dr. Kailash Shinde.
NMMC has inaugurated a free legal aid cell for women and has been active in promoting gender equality through various cultural programs and awareness campaigns.
