Real Estate Mumbai:In a recent development, the Navi Mumbai police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against four individuals for allegedly cheating a 35-year-old real estate developer out of ₹66.75 lakh in a land deal. The accused, who have been identified and arrested, are said to have forged documents to show ownership of a plot in the Ulwe area of Navi Mumbai township. They also fabricated documents of various agreements and transfer orders of the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) to gain the confidence of the victim, a resident of Sanpada.

The victim, who was duped out of ₹66.75 lakh in the land sale-purchase deal, reported the incident to the police, who launched an investigation into the matter. The police have registered an FIR against the four accused under relevant legal provisions for cheating, forgery, criminal breach of trust, and criminal conspiracy.

The offences took place between December 2021 and January 2023, and a probe is currently underway to uncover more details about the case. The Navi Mumbai police are determined to bring the culprits to justice and ensure that such fraudulent activities do not take place in the future.
