The deadline for the 90% property tax fine exemption has been extended to September 15.
A basic tax discount of 5% is available for those who pay the 2025-26 tax by August 31. Additionally, a 2% discount is offered for digital payments and another 2% for participation in environment-friendly activities.
The total outstanding property tax amount as of August 13 stands at Rs 1,842 crores, which is 47% of the 2025-26 budget.
The new slabs are a 90% rebate from August 15 to September 15 and a 75% rebate from September 16 to September 30, replacing the earlier 50% and 25% slabs.
The total budget presented by the PCMC for 2025-26 is Rs 3,874 crores.
