Pune Real Estate Agent Arrested for Smothering Wife Amid Financial and Emotional Struggles
PUNE: The Khadki police in Pune arrested a 56-year-old real estate agent on Wednesday, charging him with the murder of his 53-year-old wife. The incident took place around 11 PM on Tuesday at their apartment in the Chikhalwadi locality of Khadki.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone IV) Chilumula Rajnikanth, the accused had initially considered taking his own life but decided to kill his wife instead. He called the police control room around 8:30 AM on Wednesday to report the murder. The Khadki police subsequently registered a suo motu case of murder against the real estate agent.
