Real Estate Mumbai:A part of a property belonging to film actor Rajpal Yadav in his native Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh has been sealed by a Mumbai bank over non-repayment of a loan.

The property was sealed by the Central Bank of India's Mumbai branch after Rajpal Yadav failed to repay a loan of Rs 11 crore. According to sources, the actor had taken a loan of Rs 5 crore from the bank in 2005 to set up a production house, Navrang Godavari Entertainment Limited, in the name of his parents.

When contacted, the actor declined to comment on the matter. However, sources close to him said that he had been struggling to repay the loan, which had accumulated to Rs 11 crore.

On August 8, a team from the Mumbai bank sealed a part of the house located near the dak bungalow. Locals reported that the bank officials sealed the building in such a hurry that they failed to even switch off electrical items inside the house.

Rajpal Yadav is a well-known actor who has appeared in several Bollywood films. He hails from Kunda village of Shahjahanpur district and visits the place at least once every year.

The actor's theatre guru, Jarif Malik, said that Rajpal Yadav became interested in theatre during his stay in Shahjahanpur. He did theatre in Shahjahanpur from 1987 to 1992 before moving to Bharatendu Natya Akademi in Lucknow and then to National School of Drama in Delhi.
