A real estate agent named Sagar Heeralal Rajbhar (37) was arrested near the Forensic Science Laboratory in Santacruz, Mumbai.
A pistol and two live cartridges were seized from the arrested man during the operation.
The arrested man, Sagar Heeralal Rajbhar, resides in Kalyan, which is in the adjoining Thane district.
The arrest was made following a tip-off that a man was coming to Hans Bhugra Road near the Forensic Science Laboratory to deliver a firearm and cartridges.
The man was arrested under relevant sections of the Arms Act.
