Rs 14 Crore Fraud: Aparna Yadav's Brother Accused in Land Deal Scam
Real estate businessman Thakur Singh Manral has accused Chandrashekhar Singh Bisht, the brother of BJP leader Aparna Yadav, of duping him in a land deal involving 22.10 bighas of land. An FIR has been registered against Bisht over the allegations of a Rs 14 crore real estate fraud.
According to Manral, despite paying the full amount through both cash and cheques, he was given registry papers for only 13,450 square feet, which is not even half of the agreed land area. The alleged deal was struck at the Bisht family's government residence in Gulistan Colony, Lucknow, where Chandrashekhar promised to sell the land at Rs 1,100 per square foot, bringing the total deal value to approximately Rs 14 crore.
Manral claims that Chandrashekhar operates a company named Merchantas Infahights Pvt. Ltd. in Lucknow. He said he trusted the company and its credibility while entering into the agreement. However, when he later demanded either the remaining land registry or his money back, Chandrashekhar and his associate Himanshu Rai allegedly threatened to kill him.
Manral further alleged that Aparna Yadav, her mother Ambi Bisht, and father Arvind Singh Bisht were all aware of the entire transaction. Despite filing multiple complaints with the Gomtinagar Police Station, the Police Commissioner, and other senior officials, no action was taken until he approached the court. Following court directions, an FIR was finally lodged at Gomtinagar Police Station.
This incident comes just a day after Ambi Bisht, Aparna Yadav’s mother and former property officer with the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), was also booked by the Vigilance Department in connection with a land allotment scam in the Priyadarshini-Janakipuram scheme. Ambi, along with five former LDA officials, was found guilty in the initial probe. She retired on September 30, 2024, after also serving as a tax officer in the Lucknow Municipal Corporation.
The allegations and subsequent legal actions have cast a shadow over the Bisht family, particularly Aparna Yadav, who is a prominent BJP leader. The case is currently under investigation, and further developments are expected to unfold as the probe progresses.
