The basement and the ground floor of the building are already owned by the Khans, and Aryan's purchase is seen as an extension of their property portfolio. The transaction was registered in May 2024, with Aryan paying a hefty Rs 2.64 crore as stamp duty. The residence has been designed by Gauri Khan herself, reflecting the family's impeccable taste in architecture and interior design.
Pradeep Prajapati, founder of boutique real estate consultancy firm Wealthvisory Capital, notes that high-value transactions by Bollywood stars are rare in Delhi. He cites the example of Amitabh Bachchan, who sold his Gulmohar Park property in South Delhi for around Rs 23 crore.
This is not the first time the Khan children have made headlines for their investments. In January last year, Suhana Khan bought a farmhouse in Thal village, Alibaugh worth Rs 12.91 crore. A year later, she purchased a beachfront property near Mumbai's coastal area for Rs 10 crore.
On the professional front, Aryan has decided to ditch acting and is ready to make his directorial debut with a web series titled Stardom. The six-episode digital series is set against the backdrop of the film industry and is backed by Shah Rukh and Gauri's production house, Red Chillies Entertainment. Suhana Khan, on the other hand, is busy shooting for Sujoy Ghosh's The King, where she will appear alongside her father, Shah Rukh Khan.
The Khans' investments in real estate reflect their astute business sense and their ability to diversify their portfolio. With Aryan's latest purchase, the family has further consolidated its position in Delhi's luxury real estate market.
