Shakun Group MD Ballabh Das Maheshwari Dies in BMW Crash on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway
Jaipur-based industrialist Ballabh Das Maheshwari, the Managing Director of Shakun Group, died in a car accident on the Delhi-Mumbai expressway on Sunday evening. The incident took place around 4 pm near Nangal Bas village, as confirmed by Rajpal Singh, SHO of Alwar’s Raini police station.
Maheshwari was traveling on the Jaipur-Delhi highway when his BMW lost control, rammed into a barricade on the side of the road, hit the median, and finally crashed into a culvert. The vehicle was being driven by his driver, and there were only two people in the car at the time of the accident.
The businessman was reportedly on his way to the Giriraj temple in Mathura for darshan. Initially, Maheshwari was taken to Pinan hospital, which referred him to Harish hospital. He succumbed to his injuries, while the driver did not sustain any major injuries.
The SHO stated that Maheshwari’s family requested that no further formalities, including a post-mortem, be conducted. The deceased’s body was handed over to the family as per their wishes.
The news of Maheshwari’s demise has shaken the business community and political circles. Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed his condolences, saying, “The news of the demise of industrialist Ballabh Maheshwari in a tragic road accident that occurred on the expressway in the Raini police station area of Alwar is extremely heartbreaking. I pray to God to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this sorrow. Om Shanti.”
Leader of Opposition Tika Ram Jully also mourned the loss, stating, “The news of the demise of industrialist Vallabh Maheshwari in the road accident that occurred in Reni, Alwar, is extremely heartbreaking. I express my deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.”
Maheshwari was a prominent figure in the business world, serving as a director in several companies under the Shakun Group. These include SGM Real Estates Private Limited, SGM Buildcon Private Limited, Shakun Advertising Private Limited, Shakun Buildhome Private Limited, and Manokamna Real Estate Private Limited. His contributions to the real estate and construction industries have been significant, and his passing is a great loss to the community.
