Shivam Dube Invests Rs 27.50 Crore in Two Luxury Apartments in Mumbai's Oshiwara
Real Estate Mumbai:Undergoing a break since the conclusion of this year’s Indian Premier League, Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Shivam Dube is in the news for making a massive real estate investment in Mumbai. Dube, who was part of India’s T20 World Cup triumph last year, has bought two luxury apartments in the city’s Andheri-West region.

Investing a heavy sum of Rs 27.50 crore, the cricketer has purchased a pair of premium flats in the upscale Oshiwara locality of Andheri West, according to official documents accessed via the Maharashtra government’s property registration portal and reviewed by Square Yards.

It is understood that the property deal was finalised earlier in June, making it a part of Dube’s growing portfolio off the cricket field. Both the apartments the Mumbaikar has purchased are located in DLH Enclave, which is a high-end residential development by Dev Land and Housing Limited. The two flats are on the adjacent floors of the building and come with a carpet area of 4,200 sq. ft. together alongside a terrace spanning 3,800 sq. ft.

“The transaction also includes three car parking spaces. As per registration details, the deal attracted Rs 1.65 crore in stamp duty and Rs 30,000 in registration charges, customary for transactions of this scale in Maharashtra,” said a report by Financial Express. The collective area owned makes it one of the major residential purchases by a cricketer in recent times.

Mumbai’s Andheri-West remains the most desired location for real estate and housing investment among celebrities and cricketers in the city because of its great mix of residential, commercial, and entertainment zones and proximity to the major routes, including the Western Express Highway, the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar Metro line, Link Road, and SV Road.

Over time, cricketers have grown smarter with their finances and become keen to expand their wings beyond the cricket field by making prudent investment decisions and securing their futures. Dube becomes the latest active Indian player to make a real estate purchase in Mumbai, which is host to multiple giants of Indian cricket, including legendary former skipper Virat Kohli, who shifted to the city with his wife and film actress Anushka Sharma. Dube has played 4 ODIs and 35 T20Is for India and remains an integral part of the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings side in IPL.
