Technopark and real estate major HiLITE Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a 5.15 lakh sqft IT Park on the Phase-3 campus of Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The project, christened ‘Yoo Hub Trivandrum by HiLITE,’ will be developed on 1.88 acres of land and is expected to significantly boost the city's IT infrastructure.

The MoU was exchanged by Sandip Kumar, IAS, CEO of Technopark, and Ajil Muhammed, CEO of HiLITE Group, in the presence of Seeram Samabasiva Rao, IAS, Special Secretary, Department of Electronics & IT, Government of Kerala, and the Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister. Other dignitaries present included Shaiju N Lal, Registrar, Kerala IT Parks; Vipin Kumar S, CFO, Kerala IT Parks; Madhavan Praveen, CTO, Technopark; Vasanth Varada, Deputy Vice President (Marketing & Customer Relationship); Abhilash D S, Assistant Vice President (Administration & Industrial Relations); Mohammed Shafeeq P, CEO, HiLITE Properties; and Hanu Shelk, Executive Head, HiLITE Business Park.

Sandip Kumar, IAS, emphasized the significant demand for land space in Thiruvananthapuram and highlighted the potential for HiLITE to explore Phase-4 in Technocity, where land parcels are available for various projects. He assured HiLITE Group of Technopark’s full support for the timely completion of the project.

Ajil Muhammed, CEO of HiLITE Group, stated, “This marks a significant milestone in our mission to develop 50 million square feet across Kerala over the next five years. As the state’s first branded IT Park, this project sets the benchmark for the scale, quality, and vision we are committed to delivering.” The facility, which will have a basement, ground floor, and 16 floors, is expected to be completed within three years.

The proposed IT Park is being developed in association with YOO, an internationally renowned design brand known for its global portfolio of luxury real estate and design-led developments. This marks YOO’s first branded IT Park collaboration globally. The project is expected to generate approximately 4,000 direct IT jobs, contributing significantly to Kerala’s growing technology ecosystem and supporting long-term industry advancement.

The MoU signing comes just days after HiLITE Group announced its ambitious vision to develop 50 million sqft across Kerala by 2030. This collaboration between Technopark and HiLITE Group is poised to transform the IT landscape in Thiruvananthapuram, making it a hub for technological innovation and economic growth.
