Tesla has leased 24,565 sq ft of warehouse space in Kurla, Mumbai.
The total rent Tesla will pay for the warehouse space over five years is ₹24.38 crore.
The starting monthly rent for the warehouse space is over ₹37.53 lakh.
According to Union minister for heavy industries HD Kumaraswamy, Tesla is not interested in setting up manufacturing and production units in India and is focusing on expanding its showrooms.
