An iron rod fell from a metro construction site and injured a man riding in an autorickshaw. The incident occurred around 2 pm on Tuesday.
The injured man was identified as Sonuali Shaikh. He was rushed to a hospital and underwent a five-hour surgery to remove the iron rod from his head.
The police registered a case under section 125 of the BNS against unidentified persons. Further investigation is underway to identify the responsible parties.
