The Hamptons: A Real Estate Agent's Guide to the Hottest Spots This Summer
Real Estate:As a real-estate agent in the Hamptons, I've seen the rental market boom in recent years. This summer is shaping up to be one of the hottest yet, with premium rentals going for up to $1 million a month. But where are the best places to see and be seen?

The Hamptons is divided into two camps those who come to retreat and get away from the world, and those who come to be around all the people. Both are valid reasons, but it's essential to know what you're getting into before you visit, rent, or buy.

Sagaponack is my favorite spot in the Hamptons. It's quiet, the houses are stunning, and the lot sizes are enormous. It's the most low-key and exclusive area, with minimal everyday traffic. Jimmy Fallon has a house out there, which put it on my radar. Sagaponack is perfect for those who want to be away from the crowds and remain exclusive while still having access to the beach and East Hampton.

East Hampton, on the other hand, has a bit more to do. There are restaurants, designer stores, and things to do, making it a hub of activity. Sag Harbor has an old fisherman-architecture vibe and feels like a small town, which I love. Amagansett is nice, but it's a bit far out, and access can be challenging.

Southampton is the best for retirees, with its name power, big restaurants, and communities with pools. It's also a good option for those who want to be closer to NYC. For celebrities looking for a quicker getaway to the Hamptons, Southampton is the way to go.

When it comes to dining, I always rave about Sí Sí in East Hampton. The Mediterranean-inspired restaurant serves fresh food, and the sunsets are incredible. At night, it turns into a fun party spot. Gurney's in Montauk is also a hotspot, especially on Sunday nights. Le Bibloquet in Sag Harbor is a staple, and Topping Rose in Bridgehampton is perfect for a low-key evening. Almond, with its LGBTQ+ owners, is a hidden gem.

Whether you're looking to rent or buy, the Hamptons has something for everyone. Just remember to do your research and find the area that fits your lifestyle.
