The impact was so forceful that the dumper swerved and hit the side railing of Atal Setu. “The dumper driver also sustained injuries,” the official added. On further inquiries, the police discovered that the deceased was the son of a real estate agent from Chembur. The family was informed about the incident. According to the deceased’s father, his son had attended a party and was returning home when the accident occurred. The deceased had hired the vehicle from an online portal. Sewri police station registered an FIR in the matter against the deceased. Once the blood report is available, the police will determine the appropriate legal actions to take based on the results.
