YEIDA Launches 973 Housing Plots Near Noida International Airport
The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has launched a residential scheme near the Noida International Airport (NIA), offering 973 plots. This project, which comes days after the airport's inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to meet the growing demand for residential plots in the area.
Officials have stated that 17.5% of the plots will be reserved for farmers whose land has been acquired for the planned development of the Yamuna area and NIA. Additionally, 5% of the plots will be reserved for businessmen who have functional industrial units in the Authority area. The land rate is set at Rs 36,260 per square meter, and the allotment of plots will be made through a draw.
The project has been approved by the UP Rera, and people can register through the Authority's website, https://yamunaexpresswayauthority.com/, starting from the launch date. The last date to apply is May 6, and the draw for the scheme is scheduled for June 18.
YEIDA CEO RK Singh emphasized that this scheme is designed to fulfill the increasing demand for residential plots near the airport. He also mentioned that the Authority plans to launch two more residential plot schemes in the next three to four months to meet the growing needs of the population.
The plots will be available in various sizes, including 162sqm (476 plots), 183sqm (four plots), 184sqm (four plots), 200sqm (481 plots), 223sqm (six plots), and 290sqm (two plots). The park-facing and green-belt locations will attract an additional 5% premium, and corner locations will also carry a 5% premium.
Applicants need to submit 10% of the premium as a registration fee. For successful applicants, this registration money will be adjusted against the payable premium of the plot. If an applicant is not successful, the registration money will be refunded.
According to the scheme, 100% of the total premium must be paid within 60 days from the date of the allotment letter. However, in certain circumstances, the payment period can be extended for up to 30 days.
This residential plot scheme reflects strategic planning to accommodate future population inflow and boost real estate activity. It also signals confidence in the airport-led development model, positioning the Yamuna region as a key growth corridor in the National Capital Region. The launch of this project is expected to attract professionals, investors, and businesses, contributing to the region's rapid urban expansion.
