Indiramma Housing Phase II: Addressing Issues and Moving Forward
Hyderabad: Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has announced that the second phase of the Indiramma Housing scheme will be implemented soon. The state government is making all necessary efforts to address issues related to sada bainama, prohibited land lists, and land records.
Participating in a ‘praja darbar’ at Kusumanchi in Khammam district, the minister noted that a significant number of applications submitted during these interactions were for Indiramma houses. He emphasized that the high demand for these houses is due to the previous BRS government’s failure to fulfill its promise of providing 2-BHK houses to the poor. “The previous BRS government betrayed the people on the housing front,” he added.
The Congress government has been directly depositing financial assistance into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries of the Indiramma housing scheme. The minister stated that the government is releasing funds every Monday to ensure that the first phase of the housing scheme is completed on a fast track. “The Congress government is implementing the promises made in the farmers' declaration, which was part of the party's election campaign by Rahul Gandhi. This includes procuring paddy and maize crops at minimum support prices, waiving crop loans of up to 2 lakh for 25 lakh farmers, and paying a 500 bonus for fine paddy,” he said.
The Indiramma Housing scheme is a significant initiative aimed at providing affordable housing to the underprivileged. The government is committed to ensuring that the scheme is implemented smoothly and that all beneficiaries receive the support they need. The second phase of the scheme will build on the successes of the first phase and address any remaining issues to ensure that more families can benefit from quality housing.
The minister also highlighted the importance of transparency and accountability in the implementation of the scheme. He assured the public that the government is working diligently to resolve any administrative hurdles and that the welfare of the beneficiaries remains the top priority. The Indiramma Housing scheme is a testament to the government’s commitment to improving the living conditions of the less fortunate and ensuring that they have a safe and secure place to call home.
