Thane Metro Line 4: Route, Connectivity & Real Estate Impact

By GeoSquare News Desk · Published 2026-10-30

The Thane Metro Line 4 is set to transform connectivity across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, linking Wadala, Thane and the Ghodbunder Road corridor. The first phase from Gaimukh to Cadbury Junction is expected to commence operations in December 2026, offering a major boost to daily commuters and property buyers alike.

Route and Connectivity

The corridor will pass through key nodes such as Kasarvadavali, Gaimukh, Manpada, Dongripada, Majiwada and Kapurbawdi, integrating with existing metro corridors and major road infrastructure. Interchange facilities with other metro lines will ensure seamless travel towards Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, while connectivity to the Ghodbunder Road will ease congestion on this vital arterial route.

Real Estate Impact

Localities along the alignment are expected to witness increased demand for residential and commercial spaces. Improved transit access often leads to higher property values, and areas like Kasarvadavali and Majiwada are likely to attract end-users and investors. With the metro promising faster commute to business districts, rental yields and capital appreciation are anticipated to strengthen over the medium term.

For investors, the upcoming metro corridor presents a strategic opportunity. Properties near the proposed stations, especially in the Ghodbunder Road belt, could see sustained interest. However, buyers should evaluate project credentials and infrastructure progress before making decisions.
