Travel Agents Association of India Secures New Office Near Mumbai Airport
Mumbai: In a landmark development coinciding with its Platinum Jubilee celebrations, the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) has announced the acquisition of its new office premises strategically located near Mumbai Airport’s Terminal 2. This marks a significant milestone in the association’s illustrious journey spanning 75 years.
The registration process for the newly acquired premises was officially completed on May 29, 2026, reinforcing TAAI’s long-term vision of strengthening its institutional presence and enhancing operational capabilities for the future.
Positioning the move as a “Dream Project,” TAAI stated that the new office symbolizes the association’s enduring commitment to progress, unity, and the continued advancement of India’s travel and tourism fraternity. The acquisition comes at a symbolic moment as the association prepares to commemorate 75 years of service, leadership, and contribution to the Indian travel industry.
Spread across approximately 1,150 square feet of carpet area, the new premises include a dedicated entrance lobby and reserved car parking facilities within a prestigious commercial complex located in close proximity to Mumbai’s international aviation hub.
Industry observers view the development as more than a real estate investment, interpreting it instead as a reflection of the travel sector’s resilience and renewed optimism in the post-pandemic era. The strategic location near Terminal 2 is also expected to enhance accessibility and operational convenience for stakeholders, members, and industry partners.
TAAI leadership credited the Managing Committee and Chairpersons for transforming the long-envisioned project into reality, describing the acquisition as a legacy initiative that will support the association’s future growth trajectory and institutional strengthening.
Founded in 1951, TAAI remains one of India’s most influential travel trade associations, representing the interests of travel agents, tour operators, and tourism stakeholders across the country. The association has been pivotal in shaping policies, promoting industry standards, and fostering collaboration among various stakeholders in the travel and tourism sector.
