Star India cricketer Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma have taken another important step by buying more than five acres of land in Alibaug. This coastal town, once known for weekend ferry visitors and small fishing communities, has in recent years turned into a preferred destination for Mumbai's wealthy residents looking for open space, peace, and a calmer pace of life.

The newly purchased property is located in Zirad village in Raigad district and covers more than 5.19 acres across two neighboring plots. One plot is about 3.6 acres in size, while the other measures around 1.55 acres. As per registration records available on CRE Matrix, a real estate data analytics platform, the total value of the deal is Rs 37.86 crore. The purchase was officially registered earlier this week, with stamp duty of nearly Rs 2.27 crore paid.

Over time, a large part of this wealth has been invested in property, creating an impressive real estate collection across Mumbai, Gurugram, and Alibaug. The couple's main home in Mumbai is a large apartment in Worli. In 2017, they shifted into an 8,000-square-foot residence at Omkar 1973, one of the city's most upscale residential buildings.

The four-bedroom flat is located on the 35th floor and includes four reserved parking spaces along with wide views of the Arabian Sea. Each bedroom has its own private balcony, which is uncommon in Mumbai's high-rise buildings. As reported by ZEE News, the apartment was bought for Rs 34 crore.

Away from the busy city, the couple also owns a well-crafted holiday home in Alibaug. Designed in a Californian-Konkan style, the four-bedroom bungalow is built on a 10,000-square-foot plot inside the premium Awas Living gated community. The property offers access to a wellness centre and spa, showing the couple's strong interest in a balanced and mindful lifestyle.

In an interview with Architectural Digest India, Kohli once spoke about how important family meals and spending time together are to him, and these feelings are reflected in the calm design of the holiday home. According to The Financial Express, the property is estimated to be worth around Rs 13 crore.

In North India, the couple has a large bungalow in DLF Phase 1, Gurugram. The home covers around 10,000 square feet and includes a private swimming pool and a stylish bar area for entertaining guests. The living room is famous for its selected art pieces, giving the space a simple yet clear sense of luxury. The property is believed to be valued at around Rs 80 crore, making it one of the most expensive holdings in their collection.
