Amitabh Bachchan Invests in Ayodhya Land for Rs 35 Crore
Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has made his third significant investment in Ayodhya by purchasing a 2.67-acre land parcel from House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL) for Rs 35 crore. This transaction, executed on Friday by Rajesh Yadav, Managing Director of AB Corp Ltd, further cements Bachchan's commitment to the city.
The land is strategically located near HoABL's 75-acre luxury land development project, 'The Sarayu.' This is not Bachchan's first investment in Ayodhya through HoABL; in January 2024, he had already bought land parcels in 'The Sarayu.' This recent purchase marks his fourth overall investment in HoABL projects.
Bachchan's previous investments include a 10,000 square feet plot in HoABL's 'Sol de Alibaug' project. Abhinandan Lodha, Chairman of HoABL, expressed his appreciation for Bachchan's continued trust, stating, 'Mr Bachchan's investment reflects a shared belief in land as an inter-generational asset that preserves value over the long term. Faith in Ayodhya is a legacy shared by generations.'
Ayodhya, supported by sustained infrastructure development and public investment, is emerging as a compelling destination for long-term land ownership and value creation. This aligns with HoABL's mission to transform land ownership through transparency, technology, and trust.
Founded in 2020, HoABL is one of the largest branded land developers in India. The company has sold over 13 million sq ft of developed land within just five years and currently has around 34 million sq ft under active development. HoABL's presence spans across various locations including Alibaug, Anjarle, Ayodhya, Vrindavan, Dapoli, Goa, Khopoli, Nagpur, and Neral.
The company has ambitious plans to expand to 48 cities across India, tapping into the growing demand for plotted developments in infrastructure-led destinations and tourist markets. Upcoming developments are planned in Amritsar, Shimla, and Varanasi.
In addition to its land development projects, HoABL has also ventured into vertical real estate development, with three projects in Mumbai totaling 3.1 million sq ft. This diversified approach underscores HoABL's commitment to providing high-quality real estate solutions and enhancing the value of its investments.
Bachchan's latest investment in Ayodhya reflects the growing confidence in the city's potential as a prime real estate market. With continued infrastructure development and public support, Ayodhya is poised to become a significant real estate hub in the coming years.
