Hinjewadi, 30th April 2026: A fire broke out in two flats of a residential building in Phase 2 of Hinjewadi IT Park on Thursday afternoon, prompting a swift response from fire brigade teams of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC).
According to a senior fire official, the department received a call about the blaze around 3pm. The fire was initially reported in one flat and later spread to another unit in the same building.
No casualties or injuries have been reported. The situation has been brought under control, the official said. He added that the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. The MIDC and local authorities are working together to investigate the incident and ensure that similar incidents do not occur in the future.
